摘要:

In this talk, I will present our survey of the most massive overdensities (progenitors of Coma cluster) in the peak of cosmic star formation and QSO activities (z=2--4).  I will present our discovery of a sample of massive overdensies at z~2.3 by utilizing Subaru/HSC, Keck, CFHT and ALMA, selected using the groups of strong Lya absorption. The galaxy properties in these overdensities reflect the emergence of the environmental dependence of galaxy property. I will further discuss the discovery of enormous Lyman alpha nebulae in these extremely overdense fields at high redshift. These site are unique laboratories to study the preliminary intracluster medium properties and the IGM-galaxy interactions. Moreover, I will present our new observations of Lyman alpha nebulae using Keck Cosmic Web Imager (KCWI). In the end, I will talk about the future prospects of how greatly improve our understanding of the structure formation in the next decade with LSST, CMB-S4 and a potentially new opportunity of a planned 6.5m spectroscopic telescope.

蔡(cai)峥,清华大学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)天文系副教授(shou),2008年毕业于中(zhong)国科(ke)学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)技术(shu)大学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue),2015年获(huo)得美国亚利(li)桑那大学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)天体(ti)物理学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)博(bo)士学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)位,2015年—2019年在美国加州大学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)圣克鲁兹分校从(cong)事博(bo)士后研究(jiu),2016年获(huo)美国太空总署 (NASA) “哈勃(bo)(bo)学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)者” (Hubble Fellow) 。他发现宇宙早期(qi)大尺度结(jie)构以及发现宇宙早期(qi)最亮的(de)星云(yun)。蔡(cai)峥领导(PI)的(de)多项研究(jiu)入选(xuan)哈勃(bo)(bo)太空望(wang)(wang)远镜、以及地面(mian)最大望(wang)(wang)远镜近千小时的(de)观测(ce)计划(hua)。他参与新(xin)的(de)望(wang)(wang)远镜研发与科(ke)学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)规划(hua),包括载人航天空间(jian)站望(wang)(wang)远镜(CSST)星系宇宙学(xue)(xue)(xue)(xue)无缝(feng)光(guang)谱子(zi)课题负责(ze)人,他也正在策划(hua)世界(jie)最大的(de)光(guang)谱巡天望(wang)(wang)远镜。
